About the Position
Due to the current incumbent taking maternity leave from March we are seeking a Financial Accountant for a period of 12 months from mid to late February. You will be responsible for:

• Preparation of payroll and relevant reports and returns
• Review of General Ledger journals, entries and reconciliations
• Preparation of management and financial monthly reports
• Prepare GST and FBT returns
• Review of various group tax payments and reconciliations
• Input into Budgets and Statutory accounts preparation
• Investigate and analyse variances and undertake other analysis as directed
• Assist the Finance team in performing compliance work

 
About the Requirements
To be successful in this role you will need to bring with you:

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Business majoring in Accounting
• CA or CPA qualification
• At least 2-3 years’ practical experience as a Financial Accountant
• Recent experience processing payroll
• Strong Excel skills
• Solid knowledge of financial and accounting principles
• A desire and ability to learn new systems and suggest improvements
