About the Opportunity

This is an incredible opportunity to either kick-start your career in finance or to continue to grow your career as a Senior Collector.

You will join a passionate and dynamic customer service team, dealing mainly with 1-30 days arrears. Duties can include: 

  • Inbound and outbound collection calls; following up on current and broken payment arrangements
  • Providing customers with solutions to their queries
  • Making suitable arrangements for repayment of arrears with clients
  • Assessing hardship cases in conjunction with the hardship team
  • Skip tracing using various tools
  • Educating delinquent customers to prevent future arrears
  • Accepting or making recommendations on settlement proposals and hardships submitted by client’s
  • Making recommendations for initiating legal action to recover overdue amounts

About You

  • You will not need finance experience to be successful in this role. However, we would love to see you coming from a customer service background. And we are also very open to welcoming seasoned Collections Officers to the team.
  • You will have a natural affinity for people and your engaging personality will deliver high-quality customer service
  • Strong attention to detail is appealing in order to keep customer records up to date
  • Sometimes it gets busy, so a calm and patient nature will aid your success in the role
  • Tertiary qualification (commerce/finance/accounting or related disciplines desirable)
