Graduate Energy Consultant | Perth

We are seeking to appoint a Graduate Consultant into Perth offices. This is an outstanding opportunity for recent graduates (up to 3 years of experience) to build the expertise required to deliver a wide range of our solutions across all of the sectors of the Australian economy. If you are passionate about using your hard earned qualifications to make a real difference to reduce Australia’s carbon emissions this is the role for you.
As part of this role initially you will help some of Australia's largest energy users by:
- Identifying and developing efficiency and productivity initiatives
- Conducting electricity and gas tariff reviews and budgets/forecasts
- Interfacing with clients in support of data gathering for procurement, energy audit and other key services and then delivering key project tasks such as the management, refinement and analysis of large datasets
Over time we will build your capability across all of our solutions with expertise gained potentially including the ability to:
- Implement energy management solutions to maximise the performance of new or existing sites, such as renewable onsite power generation, energy efficient lighting and hot water systems, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), water capture, saving and storage systems
- Develop business cases for funding and financing of energy efficiency improvements through various schemes: Energy Savings Scheme (ESS), Energy Upgrade Agreements, Energy Performance Contracting and treasury loans
- Undertake Science Based Targets projects. These provide organisations with a defined roadmap by specifying how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions
- Assist with the delivery of energy procurement and carbon strategies
The ideal candidate will have:
- Recently completed their Engineering (or similar) degree
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills that have been used to undertake analysis of varying sizes of data sets. This skill is essential to the role and will be tested during the interview process
- A passion for improving the energy and carbon performance of the Australian economy
- Outstanding communication skills
