Energetics’ Renewables and Energy Markets team continues to grow with demand for our leading-edge solutions expected to increase even further into 2021 and beyond. To meet this need we are seeking a Renewables and Energy Markets Consultant to work in our Sydney office. This position is focussed on electricity and gas procurement so the successful candidate will have a couple of years’ experience in this space and ideally come with demonstrated project management expertise.
Some more about the opportunity:
As a consultant you will develop and implement a range of possible approaches to the management of energy market risks for large commercial and industrial customers. This will include best practice energy procurement where you will tailor risk-managed methods which assess contracting structures from fixed price forward contracts and/or progressive forward purchasing, as well as wholesale-priced contracts in the case of natural gas. You will provide forward-looking market-based advice considering optimal timing, volume and price of contracting decisions, on the futures or spot market.
